Peter Givens received his BA from Northeastern University where he was a division 1 athlete, as well an intern for the Boston Bruins. Peter went on to earn his Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) degree. He has helped implement the strength and conditioning program for the Boston Skate Club, and workouts for the Dover/Sherborn middle and high schools. As an NCSA Strength and Conditioning Specialist, Peter continues to expand his exercise knowledge to help clients reach their goals and stay healthy. He divides his time between working with patients in Wellesley and working with his personal training clients at our new Needham training facility. In his free time, Peter enjoys spending time with his wife and three children. |

Joe has been a Physical Therapy Assistant ( PTA) and personal trainer for over 7 years. He graduated with a BS from Lasell College and earned his Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) certification. Joe enjoys helping patients safely get back in to the gym after rehabilitation as well as working with patients who have been hesitant to return to their sport or exercise after a surgery or injury. Joe is very active and enjoys running, skiing, tennis, and golf. If you are looking to get back to the activities you enjoy doing or would like to progress in current workout, Joe is your ideal Personal Trainer. |
 | | Stefanie Rousselle, BS, CSCS Stefanie graduated from the University of Massachusetts - Amherst in 2007 with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology. She is currently attending Graduate School at Northeastern University for a Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy. When Stefanie is not in school, she works at our Longwood and Needham clinics as a Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist. She enjoys working one-on-one with clients to design and implement a proper strength & conditioning program for each individual’s level of exercise. With her knowledge of physical therapy and sports injuries, Stefanie specializes in working with clients with previous injuries that strive to return to exercise and minimize the potential for injury. In the past, Stefanie was involved in many sports including competitive gymnastics, all-star cheerleading, and track & field. In her spare time she enjoys running, yoga, reading, cooking, scrapbooking, and living a happy & healthy lifestyle. |
 | | Joe Caligiuri, MS, ATC Joe brings a passion for Athletic Training to his work, instilled in him by his first professional experiences and fostered throughout his time in professional sports.
Most recently, Joe worked as Director of Rehabilitation for the Los Angeles Kings Hockey Club of the NHL. Joe built his career in New England as part of the Sports Medicine staff with the New England Patriots. Joe holds a BS in Sports Medicine from Castleton State College and a Masters of Science in Administrative Studies from Boston College. Joe currently resides in Dedham, MA. |
.jpg) | | Kate Fulchino, LAT, ATC, CSCS Kate enjoys treating patients and also works as a personal trainer specializing in medically-based fitness programs for clients of all age and fitness levels. She has a passion for developing programs for her clients that are geared to their specific needs which can include preparing for a sport or returning from an injury, ACL prevention programs, and overall strength and stretching education. Kate is located in the Lexington SPTA location. |
 | | Karen McDonald-Hurley, MSPT Karen is a fitness specialist at our Needham clinic. She has a Masters in Physical Therapy from Boston University, a Bachelor’s degree in Educational Studies from Brown University. Karen is a licensed physical therapist, a certified pre/post natal exercise instructor and a Strength and Conditioning Specialist. Karen brings a wealth of experience to SPTA Fitness as she has been President of her own personal training and physical therapy business for the past 9 years. Prior to owning her own business, she worked as a physical therapist at New York University, Burdenko Water and Sports Therapy, and Back on Track Physical Therapy. She was the consulting physical therapist to Commonwealth Ballet School. She enjoys personal training and helping everyone achieve his or her individual goals. Those goals may include weight loss, increased strength, increased power and flexibility, improved posture. She has worked with everyone from high level triathletes, marathon runners, competitive gymnasts, ballet dancers, to individuals looking feel healthier and lose a few pounds. As a physical therapist she has increased knowledge about the biomechanics of the body and different injuries. As a former USA Gymnast, an All- American High School gymnast, a Captain of Brown University’s women’s Division I gymnastics team: she understands the importance of remaining strong and healthy. Her broad exposure to sports and her ability as a problem solver enables her to assist in creating programs that address your sport specific and individual needs. Karen will be focusing on fitness; however she will also be able to perform physical therapy and step down rehabilitation programs. |
