Hobbies/Interests:


Carl has a specialty in Pediatric and Adolescent Medicine. His association with Children’s Hospital Sports Medicine Foundation exposes him to a number of sports medicine and adolescent injuries. Carl has written and presented papers internationally on sports medicine issues. He has also published a number of articles and chapters in sports medicine rehabilitation of the knee, shoulder, and spine related pathologies.

 

Carl sees patients in our Wellesley clinic Monday, Wednesday and Friday. He is also available Tuesday and Thursday afternoons in Medfield at the Kingsbury Club.

 

Carl is married and has four children that are all very active in sports and recreational activities. His family is involved in community projects and charitable events in and around the greater Boston area.

Hobbies/Interests:


Craig specializes in Adolescent Sports Medicine. He treats patients in our Wellesley clinic Monday through Friday where he is surrounded by a great support staff.

 

Craig has four children and is active in sports and recreational activities in their community. He enjoys coaching his children and their friends in a number of town and youth sports programs.

 

Name: Andrew J. Rizza

Hobbies/Interests:


Andrew is a 1996 Graduate of Northeastern University with a Bachelors of Science Degree in Athletic Training as well as a Masters of Science degree from Northeastern. He is a Dually Licensed and Certified Athletic Trainer who holds certifications with the National Athletic Trainers Association (NATA) and is licensed by the Massachusetts Board of Allied Health Care Professionals. Andrew has been with SPTA since 1996, served as the Athletic Trainer for the Weston Public School system since 1998 and is an approved clinical instructor for Northeastern University and Lassell College's Athletic Training curriculum. Andrew specializes in Orthopedics, Athletic Injury Prevention and Rehabilitation, Sports specific programming, concussion education and awareness as well as orthotic and brace fitting.

 

In Andrews spare time he enjoys spending time with his wife, daughter, and family. His interests include skiing, scuba diving, and Fitness.

 

Name: Alicia Molloy

Hobbies/Interests:

 

Alicia is a graduate of the Masters program at NEU.  Her experienece includes Spaulding Rehab Hospital and the New England Baptist hospital of Boston, as well as a number of private orthopedic physical therapy clinics of Boston and Florida.  Her focus is in musculoskeletal and spinal injuries with a particular interest in posture.
 
Alicia also enjoys yoga, kayaking, tennis and leading a healthy lifestyle!

Jesse’s chief interest is in sports medicine and the rehabilitation of sports related injuries. He is dual certified and covers a number of athletic events per week for a variety of high school and youth sports programs in and around the area.

 

Jesse is currently the Athletic Trainer for the boys and girls varsity Hockey teams at Wellesley High School.

Joe specializes in sports medicine injuries and
sport specific training programs.  Joe has a number of personal training clients that he sees both in the clinic as well as privately at people's homes.

 

He enjoys designing and implementing strength and conditioning programs that allow his clients to maximize their physical capacity while minimizing the potential for injury.

Peter is one of our strength and conditioning specialists in Wellesley. He enjoys designing and implementing sport specific training programs for athletes of all ages. He has a number of personal training clients that he works with both in the clinic, as well as in and around the Boston area.

Tanya treats patients in our Wellesley clinic Tuesday and Thursday mornings and spends her afternoons at Dover Sherborn High School. She is newly married and enjoys a variety of recreational activities.

Hobbies/Interests:

 

Kristen graduated in 2008 with a doctorate in physical therapy.  She enjoys treating a wide variety of patients in our Wellesley clinic Monday through Friday.

 Her specialties include the rehabilitation of dancers and performing artists as well as orthopedic and sports related injuries.

Kristen brings an intimate knowledge of dance and fitness to her treatment style, as she danced 12 years with the Boston Ballet School Center for Dance Education in the Intensive Division and one year professionally with the Boston Ballet Company. Throughout her time with Boston Ballet, Kristen has had the opportunity to train with many world renowned dancers and coaches such as Bruce Marks, Anna-Marie Holmes, Sydney Leonard, Laura Young and Tatiana Legat, widow of Yuri Soloviev and grand-daughter of Nicolai Legat of whom were choreographers, cartoonists, and pedagogues who worked to create the syllabus for the Vaganova School in Russia.
While dancing with the Boston Ballet, Kristen has performed in numerous productions of The Nutcracker, Sleeping Beauty, Swan Lake, Le Corsaire, Paquita, La Bayadère, Études, Balanchine’s Concerto Barocco, Madame Butterfly, Giselle, Rodeo, and contemporary world premiere pieces choreographed by Rebecca Rice.

In 2009, after a seven year hiatus from dancing, Kristen finally returned to the stage and has since performed leading roles with the Boston Dance Company under the direction of James Reardon and Clyde Nantais, dancing the Sugar Plum Fairy in The Nutcracker, Carabosse in Sleeping Beauty, Odette in Swan Lake and an original piece by James Reardon entitled Trauermusik.
 
Kristen has firsthand experience in the arduous training of a professional dancer and a clear understanding of the mechanics and common injuries of a dancer’s body. Kristen’s main focus in the clinic is to develop an individualized exercise program that incorporates each patient’s unique needs and personal goals, with an approach to therapy that is both integrated and holistic.

Colleen graduated in 2009 with a doctorate in physical therapy. She enjoys treating a wide variety of patients at two of our locations; Medfield and Wellesley. Colleen's specialties include the rehabilitation of dancers and performing artists as well as orthopedic and sports related injuries.

 

 
Colleen brings first-hand knowledge and experience of dance to her rehabilitation style, as she has danced for over 20 years as an Irish Dancer with the Harney Academy of Irish Dance. Through these years she has many accomplishments including two-time North American Irish Dance Champion and eight- time New England Irish Dance Champion. Colleen has also competed as part of a team and shares multiple World Championship team titles.
 
Colleen has also had unique performance opportunities. She has toured with Celticfusion and the Liam Harney Irish Dance Company on both their US and European tours. Colleen has also performed for two presidents including President William Clinton and President Mary Robinson of Ireland. Some of Colleen’s other favorite performances include dancing with Dropkick Murphys, Eileen Ivers, Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann and in the MGM motion picture Blown Away.
 
Most recently, Colleen received her Irish Dance Teacher Certification (TCRG) from An Coimisiún le Rincí Gaelacha, the Irish Step Dancing Governing body in Ireland and is currently teaching at the Harney Academy of Irish Dance. Colleen brings knowledge of training regimens, dancer mindsets and shares the love of dance with her patients all of which help her to design rehabilitation tailored to the individual dancer and assist them in returning to the stage.

Danielle graduated from Northeastern University with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy. She enjoys treating a wide variety of patients, but her clinical interests include exercise during pregnancy and the postpartum period, in addition to manual therapy of the spine. Danielle also has experience as a lab instructor for the Neuroanatomy and Gross Anatomy courses at Northeastern University.
 
In her free time, Danielle enjoys yoga, cooking, baking, and wedding planning!

Hobbies/Interests:

 

Shayna is a licensed and Certified Athletic Trainer and Physical Therapist Assistant who enjoys treating all types of orthopedic and athletic injuries. She enjoys rehabilitating athletes and getting them back on the playing field. Shayna works with both the Girls and Boys Varsity Ice Hockey teams at Wellesley High School, as well as seeing patients in both the Wellesley and Medfield clinics.

 

Shayna played soccer through college and still enjoys playing in co-ed adult leagues. She also enjoys spending time with family, friends, and her fiancé.

 

 

  

Name: Jonathan Espinal Cabrera

Hobbies/Interests:

 

Jonathan’s interests include sports medicine and the rehabilitation of sports specific injuries. He has experience in covering numerous sport activities at Saint Anselm College, Kearsarge High school, Proctor Academy, and Colby-Sawyer College. Jonathan now assists in the treatment and rehabilitation of patients at our Wellesley clinic Monday – Thursday.

Jonathan is interested in performance enhancement, as well as the rehabilitation of the spine, shoulder, and knee.  He enjoys reading, exercising, and spending time with friends and family.
